shadehouse backyard test In two weeks I'll be in Black Rock City for Burning Man 2006. It will be my second year at Burning Man and my friend Rob's fourth year. Last year the only relief we had in our camp from the brutal desert sun was the shade cast by our rented minivan, which usually didn't amount to much. This year we're taking along a lightweight, prefab shade structure. It's 12x12 feet, and hopefully it will provide enough shade for us to catch a break from the midday sun once in awhile. The Kelty Shadehouse 12 is like a tent with no walls, and I pitched it in the back yard to get a feel for the setup. It went up fairly easily, although I got stuck for awhile because I failed to follow the included directions. bamboo system Chad had the bamboo pieces (which we'd been collecting for over a year) all lined up in the alley based on size.
